Head Brazlilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor
Blueprint Martial Arts Head of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Professor Chet Quint, brings a wealth of martial arts experience to the gym.
Professor Quint’s teacher is the renowned Brazilian jiu-jitsu master Pedro Sauer. Master Sauer is grandmaster Helio Gracie’s direct student and is also recognized as one of the best jiu-jitsu teachers in the world. After training under Master Sauer for over ten years, Professor Quint received his black belt in 2004, and is now a 4th Degree Black Belt.
Under the guidance of the famed Rilion Gracie, Professor Quint spent a year studying jiu-jitsu in Brazil, training with some of the best practitioners to refine his techniques.
Professor Quint moved to Beijing in 2005 from America to establish the first world-class jiu-jitsu school in Beijing, and was the first BJJ Black Belt teaching in China. Since then he returned to his native United States where he continued to instruct in martial arts. In 2019 Professor Chet has relocated to Jakarta, Indonesia.
Aside from over 20 years of Brazilian jiu-jitsu experiences, Professor Quint also trained for nearly 20 years in many different styles of martial arts, including tae kwon do, karate, judo, Chinese shuaijiao, boxing, and Japanese Jiu Jitsu.
Other Black Belts Held
He has also attained the rank of black belt in tae kwon do, karate, shuaijiao, and Japanese Jiu Jitsu. Professor Quint often incorporates his other martial art backgrounds into his jiu-jitsu curriculum, forming a unique, highly effective form of self defense martial art.
Professor Quint was a member of US armed forces and a police officer. He posses real-life practical street fighting knowledge and has utilized that knowledge to train numerous professional MMA fighters over the years. He has also held multiple roles as the Head of Security for International Schools.
